If you are looking for the best sunscreen for face, then your search might stop here. Last year, I received this product as a free sample from Influenster and Shiseido in exchange for my honest opinion. I may be a little late with my review now but as I use sunscreen all year long, I thought I'd share it anyway.
In short, I absolutely love this sunscreen! The formula is fluidy, yet it doesn’t try to run away when you apply it. Besides, it absorbs very fast no matter how much I squeezed out. It’s weightless and non-greasy and feels very nice on the skin. Even though my skin is on the oily side, this sunscreen doesn't make it look shiny. Instead, it actually absorbs surplus oil from my face, so it looks velvety matte. I usually have quite large pores on my cheeks, but the cream makes them look less visible. Though, it doesn't clog them, nor does it cause breakouts or irritation. What else is important for me is that it doesn't leave a white cast.
It doesn’t clash with my moisturizer. It’s not drying.
It also creates a perfect base for my makeup, as the foundation glides smoothly on it and blends easily. As the formula is so lightweight, I don’t feel the sunscreen under the makeup, it allows my skin to breathe. During the day, my face doesn't look oilier or shinier, which is a great result for my skin type.
I think it actually shields my skin from pollutants and the negative impact from the environment, as the overall appearance of my skin has improved since I started using this sunscreen. As for its main purpose, which is sun protection, I haven't managed to test it in a hot climate yet, but in an urban environment during pretty warm and sunny weather, it fully meets my expectations. I use retinol in my night-time routine and because I protect my skin with this sunscreen, I don’t have any pigmentation.
I also like the packaging a lot. It is very convenient to use even on the go (on the beach, for instance) and it doesn’t take much space in the bag, so it’s perfect for traveling. Another great thing about this sunscreen is that it’s water resistant, so sweat will not break it.
To sum up, this is my go-to sunscreen now. It totally lives up to its name and provides me with everything I look for in a perfect sunscreen. I'm beyond happy that I was introduced to it. Thank you!
